Well, this is my 1977 K5 Blazer. I took it out to the mountains
a while back and took some good pictures of it doing what it does best.
Here I had the suspension fully flexed. As you can probably tell the suspension
is basically stock, with the exception of extra leaf springs in the rear. |
This is an okay view of my awesome front bumper. It is
made out of 1/4" steel and has a built-in locking toolbox in the center.
The grille guard holds two 6 inch KC lights. Over the cab there is a Carr
Stealth light bar with four 6x9 Long Distance KC lights. |

In this interior shot you can see that I have a standard
transmission. To be exact, it's an SM465 4-speed tranny with super low
first gear (6.55:1). You can also see the NP205 Part-time 4 wheel drive
transfer case shifter. There is a Pioneer AM/FM Stereo Cassette and a 7
band Graphic Equalizer/Amplifier. In the front there are two 6x9 Pioneer
120 watt dual-cone speakers. The back has two 5x7 dual-cone speakers. |
Here's another action shot of the Blazer. By the way, those
tires are 31x11.50/R15 LT Futura Dakota Radials. The wheels are white,
8 spoke, 15x8's. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a GM 12 Bolt.
In the axles, there are 3.73 gears. |

This is the very cool matching rear bumper. It has a built-in
receiver hitch and a shelf in the center for two jerry cans to sit, but
you have to take off a steel plate to get to it. |
This is the very popular (and common) 350 c.i. V-8 with
Q-Jet 4 bbl carburetor. It has approximately 190 h.p. and 265 lbs. ft.
of torque. The torque is better than stock because of an aftermarket RV
Cam. The horsepower is now higher because of dual exhaust with Thrush Turbo
mufflers and a 14" K&N air filter. Also, you can see the ACCEL Super
Coil tucked in behind the air filter, however, you can't see that there
is Clevite high volume oil pump. |
