This was definitely a two person job. I decided not to invest in an engine tilter, so all of the engine adjustments had to be done "manually" while someone else pushed the hoist/engine towards the vehicle.


The engine went in almost flawlessly. Positioning of the engine was really determined by the transmission shifter aligning with the factory shifter hole in the floor. The GM HEI distributor is about 1/4" away from the firewall! You can see the JTR engine crossmember under the oil pan. By the way that is a beard, not a shadow.
