Here is the completely rebuilt 1958 Dodge engine in our 1953 Dodge truck. As you can see, we decided to convert it to 12 volt and to use a 10SI GM alternator which is actually for a late '70's Chevy truck. The chrome oil breather cap is not original either. I started from the front bumper cleaning and painting the truck as I head towards the rear of the vehicle.

The silver-aluminum color that I painted it is very, very close to the original. The engine now has a new water pump, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor and all new motor mounts.
